Nov. 24, 2012 STOP Worrying!

 

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own.

 

 

 

 

MESSAGE

God is reminding me again not to worry about anything.  He is telling me to live day by day with Him-trusting Him, serving Him and loving Him.

 

 

 

PROMISE

32 ...and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

 

 

 

COMMAND

1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness'

 before men, to be seen by them.

If you do, you will have no reward for your Father in heaven

 

3 But when you give to the needy,

do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

4 so that your giving may be in secret. 

Then your Father, who sees what is done in  secret,

will reward you.

 

5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites,

for they love to pray standing in the synagogues

and on the street corners to be seen by men.

 

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close your door

and pray to your Father, who is unseen.

 

16 "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do,

they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting.

17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face.

 

19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...

20 But store up yourselves treasures in heaven...

 

25 "Therefore I tell you the truth, do not worry about your life,...

 

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,

and all these things will be given to you as well.

APPLICATION

1. Starting today, I will stop thinking what I might be lacking in the future but instead I will look solutions to fill up the lack. 
2. I will properly manage all the blessing especially my finances.  No more overspending! 
3. I will not spend that is beyond our household income and I will recognize NEED over WANT
